New Horizons at Hirwaun

New Horizons run an open door outreach at Hirwaun every Friday 1pm – 4pm

This is a volunteer led peer support group for people with mental health issues. The group is run by trained and experienced volunteers (NVQ Level 2 and many years of experience of offering support at New Horizons). The group offers support, a friendly safe environment and a cup of tea.

Aberdare Festival 2012

RCT are pleased to announce plans for a fantastic free family extravaganze in Aberadre Park over the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.Set to take place on June 02 and 03rd offering two fun packed days for all ages to enjoy.
Open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days with FREE entry, attractions already planned include live bands, arena shows, fun fair , craft market and more.
Also planned for the Sunday is walking carnival within the park perimeter. The carnival is a walking only parade with no motorised vehicles.

It’s time to tee off for charity once again - as the popular Mayor’s Golf Tournament is back.
Following the success of the past few years, Mayor Cllr Sylvia Jones has once again teamed up with Aberdare Golf Course to offer a day of golfing, competition, fun - and charity fundraising. Taking place at Aberdare Golf Course on Friday April 20th, the day will once again be in aid of the Mayor’s Charity Appeal this year supporting ,Viva Wales; RCT Crossroads; Rhondda Powerhouse Trust, Llwynypia; Mid Rhondda Operatic society; GTFM Community Radio (Taff Ely); Colstars Youth Theatre (Cynon Valley).
